Normal movement is controlled by left stick. When using the camera, it's controlled by right stick. What's up with that?

I rthink they did that to either

1) Increase tension on certain key events as you're flipping from one directional to another trying to "capture" the spirts, you see in your head or "frame of mind" at the time you're focused on the left, and as you go to camera mode to quick flash the spirit before it gets you, you're, probably even for a second or two, fiddling with the left stick which gives juuuust enough time for the ghost to attack you.

.or 2) Someone was drunk when they were coding the control commands.
You...sound like you've played this...or at least taken a look to see what it's about. I'm willing to humor option #1, and there are people who believe that clunky controls make a real survival horror. I still can't flat out complain- the game rocks.

I'm also open to the idea that they thought they were making a concession for us American types by putting some movement controls on the right.
I played Fatal Frame II crimson butterfly director's edition. I see some of the basic controls carried over to the 3rd one.
